What is VenoScanner?
VenoScanner is the endpoint of the Global ID authentication platform. VenoScanner captures multiple views of a finger’s veins for the purpose of private biometric authentication. The authentication process is driven by customer applications via API calls to the Global ID authentication platform, deployed on premise or as a service.

What is pseudonymisation?
Pseudonymisation is a data protection safeguard. It involves processing of data in such a manner that the data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information, which must be kept separately.
What is single-purposing of biometry?
The design, acquisition, and processing of biometric data for a single purpose, in this case authentication of identity. The biometric data acquired by VenoScanners is designed and processed to be usable strictly for authentication and no other purpose such as profiling. The data is transformed into encrypted mathematical representations and the original data is destroyed.
